Clothing (Free)

Spring Creek Baptist Church -2760 Trenton Rd. Go to the Mission House in front of the Church on Wednesday 9 am - 2 pm. Must wear mask & social distance.


The Well, 224 Union Street (Old Moose Lodge) - Clothing giveaway is on Tuesdays 10am-Noon. Drop off used clothing (must be clean & in season) Monday Tuesday & Wednesday 1 pm - 5 pm


                          Just call 211 for additional Clothing giveaways.

Free Hot Meals -

Loaves & Fishes at 825 Crossland Ave. serves a free hot meal  Monday thru Saturday  10:30 - Noon.   Must wear a mask & social distance.


Manna Cafe - mannacafeministries.com serves a hot meal to go: Must wear a mask, Social Distance

Electric Assistance

Urban Ministries, clarksvilleurbanministries.com -  217 S. 3rd St_ Must call for appointment_____________. 931-648-9090 - Monday thru Friday 8 am-Noon.-. Must bring the original bill, proof of income/expenses & photo ID. Call to see if funding is available. Must pay your electric bill down to $100. they will pay the remaining $100


Community Action Agency www.cmccaa.com - _____________931-896-1800 

Apply for utility assistance through the Community Action Agency LIHEAP Program. Call for an application or download the application on the CMCCAA website. Enroll in the program from October 1, 2022 - September 30, 2023. If you applied for their LIHEAP program, you may qualify for Gas & Water assistance.

 Electric is LIHEAP – Water has the same eligibility as LIHEAP and is categorically eligible for the water program.  If they have already received LIHEAP they do not need to apply again for water, just need the water bill and a short one-page document completed to document what level of benefit they receive.  The minimum benefit is $250 if the bill is larger than $250 we will pay the total bill up to $2,000.  For anything above $2,000 we have to request approval from our funding source but still possible.  If they have not received LIHEAP, they will need to apply for LIHEAP and Water.  


Loaves & Fishes Service Committee_______________Mondays Only 11am 12:30 pm ,825 Crossland Ave. Must have an original electric or water bill. You need get there early. It is first come first serve. They have limited funding.

Homeless

Salvation Army Shelter- 210 Kraft St. Must have ID,________  . 931-552-5350

Intake 6 pm. must leave the shelter during the day. must have no outstanding warrants, the breathalyzer will be given, and limited beds.


Old Firehouse Day Shelter____________________________________931-542-0381

1498 Golf Club Lane. When funds are available they offer housing & job information, laundry facilities and showers till 2 pm Monday thru Friday.


 Urban Ministries________________217 S. 3rd St. you do not need an appointment. They have food & hygiene items, sleeping bags & tents when available for the homeless only

Medical

Adult Health, AIDS testing, Breast & Cervical Cancer early detection program, child health, STD screenings, Diabetes, Family planning, Immunizations for children, and Primary Care. Fees are based on income. Dental for children under 21 on Tenncare

Provides primary and dental care for adults and children. On-site services include internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatric medicine, physicals, and preventative & restorative dental care. Medical co-pay with additional fees for services based on household size and income.

Community Action Agency for Rent or mortgage assistance. Must have an unexpected expense i.e. health issue, car repair. Must have income --931-896-1800

Rental or electric assistance with families with minor children. You will need to make an appointment. At times they have funding for singles. Must have income.

                                                      

At this time, there are no other programs that assist with rent or mortgage.


                                                         Veterans

Homeless assists finding permanent housing or retain current housing, assist with food, clothing & hygiene. Can assist with getting your DD214

Housing &Financial assistance, transitional housing, career services, Call ,sign connect helping vets connect with their community when leaving the military, transportation, etc.

 Provides support and counseling for all veterans. We will provide referral services to other state and federal agencies for veterans, surviving spouses, and their dependents to ensure quicker access to the benefits to which they are entitled. .
